It all started on a snow trip to Japan in 2023.

Two lifelong mates, Jake and Alex — who met over a decade ago playing ice hockey together — found themselves talking about what they loved most: snowboarding, skiing, exploring new places, and getting out and seeing the world. Between cannonballs down the mountain and late-night beers, an idea began to take shape... What if we built gear we’d be proud to wear, and a brand that inspired others to go out and chase adventure the way we do?
So, long story short, through a shared passion for quality, adventure, and a keenness to bring others along for the journey, Buho Adventure was born!

Our Mission
We’re here to inspire the explorers and adventure seekers of the world, from first-timers dipping their toes into seeing what the world has to offer, all the way to seasoned veterans chasing their next summit.

We're not just another clothing run-of-the-mill clothing brand, we want to empower and encourage people to chase their own adventure, and provide them with the tools to do just that. If only one person says to us that we encouraged them to step outside of their comfort zone to make a life-long memory, then we've done something right!

Our Vision
We may have humble beginnings, we might look a little rough around the edges in these early days, but we have our eyes set on growing the Buho Adventure brand and community into a name that is synonymous with quality, inclusiveness, and of course, adventure. We hope to be able to provide aspiring adventurers with the gear they need to get out there and start exploring, wherever in the world they wish to find themselves.

Our Community
Buho Adventure is for the doers, the dreamers, and the explorers, the ones who break limits and inspire others to do the same. We're not talking about that 0.01% who scales the world's biggest mountain in the world's quickest time, we're talking about Jeff, or Lisa, who go out and see a little bit of the incredible stuff the world has to offer on the weekend, or on the holiday across the world they've been planning for months.

We hope to share with you our belief that you don't need to be the world's most highly regarded explorer to get out there and see the world's most highly regarded scenery.
